Terry Adams is a Director at SA Recycling, one of the largest metal recycling companies in the country. SA has over eighty facilities across nine states, and maintains strong market positions in both the southeast and southwestern U.S. The company operates fifteen automobile shredding plants and has 2,500 employees that are set to process, recycle or handle over five million tons of steel, aluminum, copper, and iron ore this year. Over the past forty years Mr. Adams has developed an extensive background and expertise in the recycling, processing, shredding, and management of all types of metals and waste streams, including hazardous, reactive, and radioactive materials. Mr. Adams has worked in all aspects of the business and some of his many roles in the company have included: shredder operator, design engineer, plant manager, regulatory compliance, and in his current capacity as a member of the executive management team.
Additionally, Mr. Adams is co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Retriev Technologies the world’s first lithium recycling company and one of the largest battery recyclers in the US and Canada. Terry was the chief design engineer for the company’s cryogenic lithium battery recycling plant, started the company’s chemical manufacturing division, and oversaw the development of the company’s radioactive materials management facility in Oak Ridge TN.
